About Jan Mulder
Operations at Vepa the furniture factory. Vepa is a subsidiary of the Fair Furniture Group. The first few years were characterised by various operational expansions at the sites in Emmen and Hoogeveen and the implementation of numerous process improvements.
In 2019, the Dutch government presented the ‘Circular Economy Implementation Programme’ as part of the Raw Materials Agreement. In 2020, Jan started as Manager Sustainability and was involved in the investigation of a new circular business model for the Fair Furniture Group. Initially, the idea was to set up a separate company within the group, but it soon became clear that all companies should adopt the circular business model. We soon received requests from the market and began to realise the most challenging circular furniture projects in the Netherlands, such as that of Nationale Nederlanden.
