To act even more sustainably and at the same time meet the highest standards of design and seating comfort - this was the aim behind the development of the KÖHL KLEAN. And it has been completely successful. The central element of the chair is the seating shell with a felt look, which impresses at first glance with its elegant lines and high seating comfort. And the use of the material is very unique. PrimaLoft®Bio™ is a revolutionary polyester material. Microbes can convert its fibers into biomass without producing any other environmentally harmful substances. Thanks to a new fiber treatment process, the unavoidable fiber residues from the manufacturing and recycling process are broken down by microorganisms and therefore pollute no longer the environment as harmful microplastics.

PrimaLoft®Bio™ stands out from conventional PET fibers, and it sets new standards in terms of sustainability. Already successfully used in the textile industry, for the first time PrimaLoft®Bio™ is pressed into a solid material by KÖHL, thus celebrating a real world premiere.

Like conventional polyester fibers, PrimaLoft®Bio™ can be fed into a standard recycling process and is therefore fully recyclable.

The ecological construction of the KÖHL KLEAN conference chair without adhesives ensures maximum recyclability of the other materials such as upholstery fabrics, frames, screws and plywood seat plate, some of which are made from 100% recycled materials.
