Sustainability in a modern design - #BlindDate

In collaboration with the alliance Danish Design Makers and Målbar, ORGATEC has launched the #BlindDate format. The innovative concept promotes a creative process that is free from preconceptions and redefines collaboration in the design industry.

Over the past six months, 19 Danish designers have taken part in this anonymous design experiment.

The designers worked on the basis of specifications from unknown industry partners - all on the theme of ‘reduction’. This innovative concept promotes responsible, critical design and asks the question: how can we reduce our environmental impact by questioning our conventions?

Now we are delighted to reveil the #BlindDate project! Experience the first meeting of designers and brands and be surprised by the creative results.

Danish Design Makers
Danish Design Makers is an alliance of designers with different nationalities and backgrounds, but all with strong ties to Danish design culture. For over a decade, the initiative has promoted innovation and a critical dialogue in design, making it the perfect partner for ORGATEC 2024.

Målbar
The Danish company Målbar aims to make sustainability measurable and will also be participating in #BlindDate. The development of the products described in the briefings will be supported by tools for calculating the carbon footprint, highlighting the authenticity and professionalism of REDUCTION.
