About Nino Basilashvili
Nino Basilashvili creates interactive installations that foster deep connections through performances combining collectivity and new media. Her work often uses biofeedback technology to provoke responses and create real-time feedback loops.
As a researcher at Creating010, a knowledge center of the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, she explores wellness and digital technologies. After fleeing Georgia for the Netherlands as a child, Nino’s focus on connection is central to her practice, exemplified by her installation HEARTSYNC, which synchronizes group heart rates. She envisions a society that values similarities over differences.
