The event
In today's working world, the physical office as a place of collaboration has taken on the important function of a central place of exchange: It is not just a workplace, but also a meeting place and a source of identity for us. It thus forms a counterpoint to the flexible but fleeting working world of online meetings and working from home. The balance between physical presence and digital flexibility is crucial in order to utilise the advantages of both worlds.
The new GRAFTLAB is a prototype for this new type of office building, a laboratory for the modern working world of the creative industries, which is characterised by flexibility and collaboration.
The transparent design and open-plan spaces encourage internal communication and facilitate collaboration between employees.
The various office levels in GRAFTLAB are designed to form a continuous space continuum, varied and interspersed with small meeting booths, seating areas, tea kitchens and meeting islands as required.
The large open staircase in the entrance area functions as an auditorium for presentations by both internal and external partners and sets the tone for open dialogue. The entire ground floor is a communal area for employees. No distinction is made here between indoor and outdoor space. This creates an atmosphere in which collaboration and creativity can flourish.
In addition, the fact that GRAFTLAB is made up of a holistic, urban programme promotes a larger community that connects the building with the neighbourhood: Additional offices of young start-ups, flats and a ground floor space that is constantly reinventing itself enrich the people who live, research, explore and work at GRAFTLAB.
