Sustainable: textile upcycling & regional product cycles

Sustainability is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (UN Charter). As an internationally active company and textile manufacturer producing in Switzerland, Création Baumann is aware of this responsibility. 

The production of textiles is an energy and resource-intensive process. The longer a product is used, the more efficiently the required resources are utilised. 

The workshop considers various aspects of sustainability in design development, product quality and variability of utilisation. The responsible use of all production components and manufacturing steps also shows the possibilities of sustainable product recycling: Shaping the future!
