The ABC of acoustics: Absorb - Block - Cover

Acoustics in interiors play a decisive role in the well-being and productivity of room users. The presentation will highlight the fundamental factors of room acoustics that are essential for successful room planning and design. The aspects of Absorb (absorbing measures), Block (sound-blocking measures) and Cover (‘covering’, e.g. through sound masking / privacy systems, but also building services systems) are explained in order to illustrate the technical options available for optimising room acoustics.
