"Place-connected" Workspaces

As the ability to work from anywhere grows, an interesting paradox emerges: modern workplaces are increasingly connected to their specific location, creating a more meaningful sense of place. This shift is transforming how we think about and design workspaces, homes and cities.

No longer confined to generic, cookie-cutter office designs, today’s workspaces are deeply influenced by their local context. Companies are incorporating the architecture, locally sourced materials, public spaces, and local character of the cities or landscapes in which they operate.

The workplace is becoming a reflection of its environment, rather than an isolated or uniform space. 

Through this tour, we will explore examples of companies that have successfully established deep connections with their environment, through craftmanship, materiality and flexibility to adapt to different conditions.
